Well known for his songwriting, DC native Omega Tha Kid switches into a higher gear as he steps out of his natural environment to conquer. Rising to the scene as a guitarist on Lil Scrappy’s “Love & Hip-Hop” in 2012, Omega rushed straight out the gates as he wrote and engineered alongside and for notable R&B figures Sean Garrett, Kelly Rowland, August Alsina and Chris Brown. The following year Omega would go on to release “Alpha and Omega” which amassed a half a million downloads accompanied with a few other moderately successful mixtape collaborations with SODMG’s Ja-Bar which lead to his MTV and Worldstar debuts in viral videos,” Summer Time” and “GHGF.” Later that year Omega would add songwriting credits from Jennifer Lopez, Grammy award winning engineer Jeremiah Atkins and Sammie to his resume, as well as going on tour with Gorilla Zoe and Crime Mob. Omega would then go on to co-write and feature as a guitarist on Jacquees’ “Feel It” featuring Lloyd and Rich Homie Quan from his EP “19.” The EP went on to peak at #15 on Billboard’s R&B album chart. In 2014 Omega expanded his writing catalog with credits from three of today’s prime Pop artists: Nicki Minaj, Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift. During that year Omega featured on D. Tall’s “Dem Heels” which also featured Waka Flocka and Bay area legend E-40, establishing Omega as a respected musical vibe among industry vets.
