my Life

Well known for his songwriting, DC native Omega Tha Kid switches into a higher gear as he steps out of his natural environment to conquer. Rising to the scene as a guitarist on Lil Scrappy’s “Love & Hip-Hop” in 2012, Omega rushed straight out the gates as he wrote and engineered alongside and for notable R&B figures Sean Garrett, Kelly Rowland, August Alsina and Chris Brown. The following year Omega would go on to release “Alpha and Omega” which amassed a half a million downloads accompanied with a few other moderately successful mixtape collaborations with SODMG’s Ja-Bar which lead to his MTV and Worldstar debuts in viral videos,” Summer Time” and “GHGF.” Later that year Omega would add songwriting credits from Jennifer Lopez, Grammy award winning engineer Jeremiah Atkins and Sammie to his resume, as well as going on tour with Gorilla Zoe and Crime Mob. Omega would then go on to co-write and feature as a guitarist on Jacquees’ “Feel It” featuring Lloyd and Rich Homie Quan from his EP “19.” The EP went on to peak at #15 on Billboard’s R&B album chart. In 2014 Omega expanded his writing catalog with credits from three of today’s prime Pop artists: Nicki Minaj, Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift. During that year Omega featured on D. Tall’s “Dem Heels” which also featured Waka Flocka and Bay area legend E-40, establishing Omega as a respected musical vibe among industry vets.

When a guitar meets a talented Hip-Hop artist and songwriter the results are endless. Fresh off his debut solo release, Omega Tha Kid covers classic 90's songs from Erykah Badu to Nas to deliver his project “199X” which generated over 70,000 downloads and has really shed light on the burgeoning infatuation amongst millennials with 1990s Hip-Hop. With a humble heart and the determined will to succeed in a growing industry, Omega is grabbing music by the reins and serenading viewers worldwide with the help of his guitar, Marie. Omega’s penmanship and production skills landed his work “Feel It” onto the Magic Mike XXL OST which debuted at #8 on Billboard’s Top 200 charts and #1 overall worldwide for soundtracks.

In January 2016, Omega released his debut single 'Learn 2 Love' featuring Jade Jones which peaked at #65 on Audiomack's Top Songs Charts. Since then, Omega has worked with Grammy Award Nominated songwriter Tami Latrell as well as performed alongside actor / singer Keith Robinson, and has worked several A3C events and the BET Hip Hop Awards.

Mid 2016 Omega released a joint EP with recording artist, Mateo Amarei 'Black Horse, Black Sheep' and '#F*ckIt!' Following both releases, Omega released 'For Atlanta' solidifying why today's industry continues to play off new artists to feed the executives control of popular trends amongst pop culture. With a heart of a true lion, Omega continues to lead his pride while building up his musical catalog with the likes of Megan Rochelle, Chophouse, Jon Boy (Future / Freebandz) and Drumma Fresh.

Due to consistency and hard work, Omega’s ‘Learn 2 Love’ record was picked up by Sway Calloway and the A&R Room to appear on a compilation vision board album, showcasing the top talents on the rise in the music industry. Adding to the hype, Omega’s joint effort “L.I.O.N.” with Issa produced by DJ Plugg (Future, Migos and Lil Uzi), was heavily received with positive reviews from Hip Hop DX and The Hype Magazine. In late April 2017 Omega and in house producer Chad Wells teamed up 3x Grammy Award winner and multi-platinum producer Rich Nice to create “Listen to the Radio” featuring JBar and Lexx Sequoia. The song would go on to be featured on the first episode of “Poundz” (A web series by Rich Nice) on Sway’sUniverse.com. With his eyes set on the top of the mountain, Omega has established a firm foundation to transition from songwriter to recording artist to ascend him into the heart of music listeners internationally.

“Despite the times of our government… Omega gives hope to the new generation of music.”
